Chun Wo Construction Holdings Company Limited ("Chun Wo"), a core member of AAI, is a local contractor and construction engineering company with a long history. In the beginning, Chun Wo mainly undertook building projects for the government and private sector; it started to participate in railway construction and civil engineering projects in the 70s; By the 90s, it became one of the few local contractors to hold five types of registration and qualification to work on public projects. In 2017, Chun Wo secured the “Design and Construction of the Aqueduct“ contract in the Philippines, expanding the construction engineering business to overseas markets around the Belt and Road.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall site environmental matters, implement environmental policies / plans. promote environmental on sites; and lead the site environmental team;
• Prepare, implement and update the Environmental Management Plan; 
• Liaise on all matters relating to environmental monitoring and auditing; 
• Carry out inspections of the site to identify potential hazards to the environment; 
• Report findings with recommendations of corrective actions.  
 

Requirements

• A corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineer (HKIE) in Environmental Discipline or equivalent; or 
• A corporate member of a professional institution (e.g. HKIE other than in the Environmental Discipline, or the Hong Kong Institute of Architects or the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors etc.) EITHER having at least (3) years of experience in environmental management, monitoring and auditing of construction activities, OR in possession of a diploma or above in environmental studies or environmental engineering awarded by a local or overseas tertiary educational institution; and 
• Completed the Environmental Officer Course run by the Construction Industry Council (CIC); and 
• At least 8 years working experience in construction industry.
