Chun Wo Construction Holdings Company Limited ("Chun Wo"), a core member of AAI, is a local contractor and construction engineering company with a long history. In the beginning, Chun Wo mainly undertook building projects for the government and private sector; it started to participate in railway construction and civil engineering projects in the 70s; By the 90s, it became one of the few local contractors to hold five types of registration and qualification to work on public projects. In 2017, Chun Wo secured the “Design and Construction of the Aqueduct“ contract in the Philippines, expanding the construction engineering business to overseas markets around the Belt and Road.

Responsibilities

• Work within multi-disciplinary technical teams and represent the Company for MEP technical matters with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop an in-house building services capability to support major projects and tenders;
• Value engineer MEP proposals using knowledge of the market, codes and latest technologies;
• Advise working projects and bid teams on MEP matters;
• Assess proposals from MEP stakeholders;
• Challenge ways of working to add value.
 

Requirements

• Degree holder in Building Services /Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines;
• Professional qualifications in MCIBSE / MIME is preferred;
• Experience of various types of delivery including design and build method;
• Experience of buildings and infrastructure design and on-site coordination needed;
• Sound knowledge of building services engineering gained with a combination of contractors and consultants;
• Knowledge of procurement and estimation of building service components from global sources;
• Knowledge of modularization;
• Knowledge and awareness of appropriate computer software for design and detail.
• Able to understand local and international codes and quality standards for design and building services components and equipment;
• Willing and able to mentor junior staff; Proficient in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
